Purchasing Manager Projects

As a Project Buyer at Inalfa Roof Systems you are responsible for managing the supplier capacity, cost and timing requirements in the quotation and product development phase. You are actively supporting the achievement of material cost targets and closely cooperate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project specifications.

Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities Are:

  • Establishing early supplier involvement during the development process

  • Organizing technical supplier meetings and moderation of supplier workshops

  • Monitoring progress from parts in the product development phase till series launch phase

  • Ensuring that project deadlines for sourcing are supported and achieved

  • Ensuring timely clarification of technical queries with suppliers and comprehensive verification in technical feasibility review of supplier's capability (Kick-off reviews)

  • Performing all procurement activities related to new projects in line with supplier strategies determined by commodity purchasing department

  • Processes purchase orders and contracts forprototypes and prototyping services

  • Collaborating between project and commodity purchasing, identifying and seizing opportunities to leverage suppliers for further cost reductions on existing business in exchange for new business.

  • Completing internal product cost overviews in close cooperation with support of engineering and commodity purchasing colleagues to achieve a cost base for the business development team.

  • Preparing cost estimates for components

  • You have a technical or business oriented degree on BSc, BEng or MSc level

  • Time management, multitasking and prioritization are your second nature

  • You are a team player which is used to work in an international environment

  • Strong and fluent communication skills in English are essential
