Purchasing Manager Projects
As Project Buyer / Project Manager Purchasing you will be responsible to manage all relevant purchasing activities within a customer focused project development team. You will work inside the Purchase Department and will work in close co-operation with Project Management and the Project Engineering Department. This position is based in Venray, the Netherlands (HQ). You will report directly to the Purchasing Director. In Venray, more than 750 specialists work together on the development and assembly of roof systems for (mainly) European OEM customers.

Your main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Drive Bill of Materials, Bill of Operation & Transfer and Bill of Costs, towards project targets;
  • Support the Project Manager with customer communication i.r.t. supplier timings, change management and quality related topics;
  • Organize and execute visit plan to check supplier progress. Join customer visits to explain supplier progress;
  • Detailed follow up on supplier timings to meet customer milestones and deliverables in right quality;
  • Cooperate with multiple internal departments to achieve best results related to quality, costs & delivery;
  • Initiate orders (tooling, parts, and any other project related items) to receive Pre-Launch parts in time;
  • Coordinate Change management towards the supply base and develop suppliers to a higher standard;
  • Support regional buyer’s negotiations of regional contracts with commodity suppliers;
  • Initiate, lead/manage and actively support cost reductions initiatives;
  • Support supplier sourcing, selection and contracting for running and new projects for commodity.

What do we expect from you?

  • Relevant degree on a MsC or BsC level;
  • At least 5 years relevant experience;
  • Good communication skills in English and  in German;.
  • Strong Project Management skills;
  • Team player that can build strong working relations;
  • Stress resistant and proactive attitude;
  • Can do mentality;
  • Accurate reporting;
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Financial & business driven.
