General information and department description:
At Inalfa Roof Systems (IRS), the Test department counts approximately 20 employees. The department divides into several teams, each dedicated to a specific customer (e.g. BMW/JLR/Audi) or specialization (e.g. NVH, Projects, Operations).
The main task of the test department is to validate the roof systems developed by Inalfa, according to every possible test category and during all phases of a project.
Working at the Test department as a student will require a pro-active and flexible attitude, and will surely provide personal development and joy.

General tasks and activities of the department:
-    Define and execute test plans
-    Perform analyses / write test reports / advise with recommendations 
-    Perform root cause investigations
-    Read / write (test) specifications
-    Develop / define test equipment and/or setups

Investigation and development of new test methods and improving test setup’s.

  • For defogging windows a new test method shall be defined and validated. It is important that the results can be quantified, and the test procedure is reproducible.

  • For future developments we would like to measure Infrared reflectance and transmission losses, the test method shall be defined and an investigation on the required equipment shall be conducted.
  • For testing in different environments the lighting conditions shall be optimized to minimize or exclude influence of external light sources.
