The Global Research & Innovation department is responsible for the development of ideas to new products and technologies for future roofsystems at Inalfa Roofsystems for the worldwide automotive market. As a department we are continuously improving our roofsystems, creating new roofsystem designs, and following the latest market trends. As part of this benchmarking is very important for us. Here we want to make a next step in order to make our benchmark process and system more efficient and user friendly. You will work with the team to improve the system. Next to that you will support the department with several other engineering task related to for example strength, stiffness, headroom, safety, weight, costs, or adding new functions such as light, solar panels, etc.Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities Are:Benchmarking of competitor products compared to Inalfa ProductsImproving Inalfas benchmark softwareDocument benchmark procedureRequirement setting and analysisIdea generation and selectionConcept design and developmentCreating force / strength calculations, tolerance stack calculationsCreating manufacturing strategy and cost analysisRisk assessmentAnd much more.
