Are you ready to grow with usAre you ready to shift into the next gear of your career As Maintenace Supervisor within Inalfa you are in the drivers seat for supervising and coordinating activities of the maintenance team engaged in maintaining and repairing equipment, structures, utility systems, buildings, and grounds. Also, works with the Engineering department to develop solutions in all areas of the plant.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.Other duties may be assigned.Support all engineering change activities impacting the manufacturing processPerform line balancing and labor evaluation activitiesSupport all IATF 16949 requirementsDesign electrical/control-wiring schematics on CAD systemDesign of control logic and control schematicsDesign ladder logic and relay logicLayout detailing and subassembly op panelsBill of material and selection of componentSystem interfacing, power calculation, sizing of cable wiresTesting, start-up, debugging, and trouble shootingSupport upgrading current assembly lines, machinery, jigs, fixtures to improveProcess control (error proofing)Data-collection, Start-up/setting instructions, and database developmentSupport engineering department in development of control units for our sunroofs and the interfacing to the carSupport engineering department with programming of IRS testing equipmentEnhance knowledge of electronics/control systems etc within IRS/USASupport MIS department on industrial computers and associated hardwareThe control engineer will be the specialist for electronics/PLC and robot software for IRS/USAQuality lead-time and cost control for each task assignedProgramming, debugging and start-up of new automated assembly machinery, robots and Man-Machine-InterfacesWrite/change documentation for start-up/setting calibration of machineryContinuous improvement actions (Kaizen) to optimize processes of the current machinery park by improving Man-Machine-Interface, adding error proofing, vision, and debugging. This is needed reduce WIP, down time, wasteful scrap and rework.Support maintenance department in troubleshooting, solving machine breakdowns etc. If needed out of the normal working hoursCommunication with internal functions, suppliers, and the customer Manufacturing processes- supports the assembly lines through accurate processing methodsUpdates all necessary equipment and fixtures to assist manufacturing to error-proof and improve efficiencies wherever possibleEnsure all manufacturing documentation is accurate and up to dateChampion manufacturing cost reduction activities, including labor reduction initiativesInform quality engineering of any set-up and improvement upon preventative maintenance planPerform basic ergonomic analysis as requiredSupport the improved efficiency & first-time capability of the manufacturing processPerform DOE projects as necessaryOversee PER builds through the manufacturing processOversee DFM/DFA analysisSupport CIP activitiesChampion implementation of Kaizen activities as appropriateReduce WIPMaintain one piece flowApply theory of constraints through plant wide activities IATF 16949 RESPONSIBILITIES The IATF 16949 responsibilities listed below are required for this position. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Must have worked successfully in several automation projects for the manufacturing industry (automotive and robot projects preferred).Good analyzing skills for trouble shooting and for solving technical problems.Must have sound knowledge of automation techniques, machine control systems, programmable logic controllers, pneumatics and computer programming.Preferred knowledge about (M) OSHA electrical/electronics requirements and automotive EMC requirements.Good communication skills, both written and oral.Good PLC programming skills, especially Allen Bradley (SLC 5, Panelview 900/1200), knowledge about Visual Basic, and AutoCAD preferred.Able to work on several issues simultaneous; able to set-up a good planning for projects/running operations; can work under pressure. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Bachelor of Science in an Electrical/Automated Manufacturing Engineers discipline and 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, machine control languages, or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
